It's supposed to be a fighting games where the most you get beated the most you get restrained.
As you can see the energy bar is splitted in three parts, correspoinding to each of the three attacks: punch, bite and kick.
When you get slammed down on the first part you get a straitjacket, on the second part you get a muzzle and on the third part your straitjacket turns into a straitcoat and wraps the legs too.
If you get slammed down when your bar is empty (you can still fight and avoid if you're still standing but you can't block anymore) you gets strapped to the ground and loses.
If by fat chance you get slammed down on the third part of the bar without having been slammed down on the second part of the bar, you will skip being muzzled.
Every added restraint changes one of the three attacks into something with less power/range but doesn't totally nullified it. To compensate, the added cloth increase the defence. Also, the special moves changes too.
